NOTE: We produce our electricity at Highwind ourselves (we are not on the grid). We have installed a new solar system that will charge our bank of batteries. We have done this to save on the burning of fossil fuel. This will be beneficial to our environment and will cut down on the cost of producing electricity. We need the co-operation of our guests to make this work. Please come to “camp” prepared to “camp” with a “camp” coffee pot,  “camp” toaster and other camp gear that do not require the use of electricity. Do not use appliances that are of high wattage consumption. These include things like electric coffee pots, electric toasters, electric frying pans, microwaves, bread makers etc.
