FROM INTERNATIONAL FALLS:
(1.75 hours)

When you cross from International Falls into Canada, you will be in Fort
Frances. You then proceed west on Highway 11 for approximately 25 miles.
You will then come to a "T" junction . Rather than continuing west you will
turn right (north) on Hwy. 71 and continue for approximately 149 miles. We
tell our guests that are coming from the south to watch for the little town
of Sioux Narrows. Once you pass through it, you have to go 25 more miles to
our corner. There are signs on the highway, informing you that the Highwind
Road is coming up. This is well marked by blue government signs. Turn right
onto the Highwind lake road and drive east for about 7 ½ miles (12 KM) and
watch for our camp sign, which is a white sign with a red heart in the
middle of it. Turn left at this sign and drive another 1 ½ miles (2.4 KM)
and you will come to another heart sign at our driveway, with Marks family
and Highwind Lake Camp on it. Turn right at our driveway and drive into
camp and proceed to our house with the office sign on it.

FROM MANITOBA:
(3.5 hours from Winnipeg)

To get to Highwind from Manitoba, travel east on Trans Canada Highway,
which is called Highway 17 in Ontario. You will travel east of the town of
Kenora for about 10 miles (16 KM) and then you will come to a junction that
is well marked. At this junction you will turn right onto Highway 71(it
will be marked as the Highway to Fort Frances). Travel south on Highway 71
for about 11miles (17.7 KM) and then you will come to the Highwind lake
road. This is well marked by blue government signs. Turn left onto the
Highwind lake road and drive east for about 7 ½ miles (12 KM) and watch for
our camp sign, which is a white sign with a red heart in the middle of it.
Turn left at this sign and drive another 1 ½ miles (2.4 KM) and you will
come to another heart sign at our driveway, with Marks family and Highwind
Lake Camp on it. Turn right at our driveway and drive into camp and proceed
